Hong Kong retail icon Joyce has emerged from a top-to-toe makeover at its Central flagship. Head there for hot-right-now men’s and womenswear designers, as well as shoes, accessories, fragrances and cosmetics.

MODE CHINA
For more than 30 years, Blanc de Chine, which has a store in Landmark Prince’s, has been creating high-end East-meets-West men’s and womenswear inspired by Chinese culture and philosophy.

SPANISH FLAVOURS 
Retro-groovy Cassio in Lan Kwai Fong is part tapas bar and part wine bar and cocktail lounge with a lush, inviting terrace and menu designed by popular London restaurant Barrafina.

REAL GEM 
Get your hands on edgy, daring and dazzling jewellery from emerging and established local and international designers at Plukka in Landmark Chater.

SETTING THE PACE 
The drab Entertainment Building houses two big art players. Pace represents the likes of Mark Rothko and Elizabeth Murray, while Axel Vervoordt Galleryspecialises in post-war European Zero and Japanese Gutai art.

VINTAGE HAUL
Rare by Oulton on Gough Street is a treasure trove of antique and vintage collectibles and curios that might include Louis Vuitton travel trunks, Venetian glass vases and a heap more.

CHOP, CHOP
Traditional Chinese and Hong Kong cuisine gets a fun, modern update at Dragon Noodle Academy on Des Voeux Road Central. Signature dishes include lobster noodle soup and Peking Duck.

ENCHANTED SPIRITS
Just off the steps of Pottinger Street is Iron Fairies, a fantastical bar featuring metalwork sprites, dangling butterflies, fanciful cocktails and live music.

CAMERA READY
Tin Cheung on Stanley Street is one of only a handful of camera shops left on a strip once lined with them. It carries top brands including Leica, Olympus and Nikon at competitive prices.

PRETTY TOUGH
New York-trained jeweller Candice Luk hand-crafts delicate but tough jewellery for every day wear. Shop online or make an appointment to visit her Sheung Wan studio for a bespoke creation.

NORDIC NOSH
Star Swedish chef Björn Frantzén brings his acclaimed take on new Nordic cuisine to Frantzén’s Kitchen in Sheung Wan. On the menu might be Asia-meets Scandinavia dishes such as Swedish sushi and grilled chicken with blond miso.

PEACE CORE
Fashionably healthy – that’s the mantra of Caelum Greene, a tranquil yoga, athleisure, home and lifestyle store on Hollywood Road for the spiritually-minded urban woman.

BAGS OF STYLE
Concept store Chateau Zoobeetle is a pocket of Parisian chic in Sheung Wan’s Sai Street. On offer are luxury leather bags and accessories, as well as men’s and women’s clothing and even wine at the bar.

TO A TEA
A 19th century heritage-listed, Greek Revival-style former British military residence in Hong Kong Park is as much of an attraction as the quaint Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware within it.
