CHECK IT OUT
Burberry has a new Central boutique, in Landmark Alexandra. Created exclusively for the store is the Mini D-ring Bag with Swarovski crystal detail, available in regency blue, deep claret and black.

SPIRIT OF ROME
A stunning metallic gold façade marks the new Bulgari flagship store in Landmark Chater. Elements of the brand’s Roman heritage are found throughout, from the 1930s-style doorway to the trademark eight-pointed star in red porphyry on the floor.

REAL GEM
Lovers of high jewellery should head to the Graff flagship in the St George’s Building. Expect to find white and rare coloured diamonds, emeralds, rubies, sapphires and a stash of swoon-worthy creations.

DUCK RIGHT IN
Tucked in the basement of Landmark Alexandra, Peking Garden is a decades’ old institution known for its dependable, visitor-friendly Chinese food, including signature Peking duck.

CLEAN & GREEN
Former hair salon Superswash on Wellington Street is now a purveyor of organic and natural hair and body products, stocking brands like Codage, L:a Bruket and Intelligent Nutrients.

CURRY FLAVOUR
Beer and a curry gets a twist with the opening of Hugger Mugger and Chaiwalla on Wyndham Street. A British bar leads to a restaurant serving modern takes on Indian cuisine, including a street-food classic of pani puri.

JUSTICE IS SERVED
There’s more to former prison Tai Kwun than heritage and art, with good food on offer, too: Jiangnan cuisine at Old Bailey; dim sum at Madame Fu; Thai at Aaharn; and French at Café Claudel. Retail includes design-focused Tai Kwun Store; Loveramics ceramics; Loom Loop textiles; and Taschen books.

SOMETHING BREWING
Learn about the finer points of Chinese tea at Wing Yuen Tea House on Peel Street. Customers can sip on antique teas in-store, or buy tea cakes and sets as gifts or souvenirs.

EYE SPY
Hong Kong eyewear brand Khromis blends Italian design with Japanese craftsmanship to produce stylish sunglasses and optical frames. A custom and bespoke service is available at the Sheung Wan store.

PEDAL & GRIND
Not just a bike shop for high-end accessories, the Rapha clubhouse in Sheung Wan has a café that serves as meeting point for cycling enthusiasts, or those who just want a coffee.

OLD TIMER
Berne Horology, a seemingly unremarkable shop on Queen’s Road Central is an Aladdin’s cave of vintage watches, including Rolex, Patek Philippe, Jaeger LeCoultre and more. See their Instagram @bernehorology for a selection.

Buzzy Fukuro is a Soho hotspot for cool kids in search of delicious Japanese izakaya-style fare. The oysters, caramel butter corn and yaki soba with crab are musts, and the kitchen is open until late.
